Doing Better- I painted this in September 2021. It's a very special painting for me. The guy skipping in this art is ‘Me’. Me, who had just gotten back from the hospital on his birthday after fighting covid. Me, whose oxygen level dropped to 60. Me, who had accepted that he will not survive but somehow did. Me, who had lost 10kg of weight. Me, who for the next 3 months would not be able to draw because his hands were shaking as weakness caught up to him. Me, whose work had just started to take off, but took a major step back due to covid. but also, Me, who wanted to get better quickly. Me, who eats healthy now. Me, who appreciates life more now. Me, who didn't know that his art would improve 10x folds due to perseverance. And Me, who is doing better now.
