Veerabhadra was created out of Shiva's anger. Lord Shiva was not agitated when He was offended by Prajapati Daksha. But when later it resulted in Sati's(Lord Shiva's consort and Daksha's daughter) death, Shiva became furious. His anger saw no bounds. He plucked His hair and from it manifested Veerabhadra one of the most ferocious forms ever and, he had only one goal- to decapitate Daksha!!
