Hawa Mahal is a palace located in Jaipur, the pink Indian city. &quot; Palace of Breeze&quot; and &quot; Palace of the Winds&quot; are the other names of Hawa Mahal. The red and pink sedimentary stones are used in the construction of this palace. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, ruler of Jaipur is responsible for the construction of this palace. The palate is pyramid-shaped with a height of about 50 feet. Lal Chand Ustad is the man that is at the origin of the architecture of Hawa Mahal. In 1799, Hawa Mahal was built with Rajput and Mogul architecture. Hawa Mahal consists of 753 Jharokhas or small windows. Hawa Mahal is a five-story palace that looks like a honeycomb with little windows. The palace contains a special courtyard from which queens can view festivals or street scenes without being watched by the public.

HUMAYUN TOMB

The tomb of Humayun is situated in the eastern part of Nizamuddin, Delhi, India. Humayun tomb is the tomb of the second Mughal ruler Humayun. Empress Bega Begum ordered the building of the tomb of Humayun, which cost 1.5 million rupees. In 1993, the tomb became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mirak Mirza Ghiyas is the Persian architect of the Humayun tomb. It took 7 years to construct the tomb that began in 1565 and was completed in 1572. The construction of the tomb of Humayun extends over an area of 10 hectares. Red sandstone, yellow and black marble are used to construct this mausoleum. Nearby the Dargah of the Sufi Saint Nizamuddin Auliya, is the grave of Humayun on the banks of Yamuna. Approximately 160 graves are buried at the tomb of Humayun.

MYSORE PALACE

Mysore Palace or Mysore Maharaja Palace is one of the largest and most spectacular monuments in the country. Also known as Amba Vilas, it is located in the heart of the city of Mysore. The palace was originally constructed by the Wodeyar kings in the fourteenth century. Unfortunately, as it was made out of wood, it got burnt down in 1897 during a royal wedding. The current palace construction was commissioned in 1897 and was completed in 1912. Designed by the well-known British architect Henry Irwin, it was built for the 24th Wodeyar Raja. It was the residence of the Wodeyar Maharaja’s of the Mysore State. The current palace is built in Indo-Saracen style and blends the Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. The palace itself is a three-story stone structure with a series of square towers and domed arches. There is also a large open space at the front with an open courtyard at the center, which is covered by a gold-plated dome approximately 145 feet (44.2 meters) from the ground.
