Ether is the Etherium inspired superheroine. She belongs to the mage class and is highly skilled. Ethereum was conceived in 2013 by programmer Vitalik Buterin and the word 'etherium' was chosen by him because he liked how the word 'ether' sounded. The word 'ether', refers to the hypothetical invisible medium that permeates the universe and allows light to travel. I wanted this piece to emphasize the play of lights and shadows on her face while using her powers. I also tried my best in giving this work a painterly feel.
