Guruvayoor Thalapoli is an annual event held at the famous South Indian Krishna temple at Guruvayoor, Kerala. On this day is to celebrate the Goddess inside the temple day. The oracle who represents the Goddess does a procession outside the temple along with traditional music and elephants. The devotees keep small containers of turmeric, kumkum and rice as part of the offerings. The oracle walks around it and picks the offerings and throws it over the devotees present there as blessings from the Goddess. This is a spectacular event in terms of the colors, the oracles and the emotions around it. This photo represents the moment the blessings have been showered onto everyone.
