The name is inspired by a 1985 British sci-fi horror movie called Lifeforce, where the main setup of the movie is based on a spacecraft, the name of the spaceship is Churchill.

Hyperion is an outdoor seater made of a combination of two materials, wood and concrete. The purpose of the design is to show the use of the two materials going together, the wood is not supposed to be manufactured/processed, but rather a trunk of the tree to give it a raw/natural look. The main idea of the concept is to show the beauty of collaborating a natural material and a man-made material. The name is inspired by a Behemoth-class battlecruiser from the sci-fi game Starcraft.
